Watch Batteries fitted by a Trained Professional
When you need watch battery replacing we suggest using a professional watch repairer.
We recommend using a professional like us to ensure the battery is replaced correctly. Time and time again we’ve seen quartz movements which have been damaged by incorrect battery replacement. Be it damage to the coil from a slipped screwdriver, debris in the movement or finger prints on the back of the battery. Of course we can fix these faults, though they’re totally avoidable if the battery had been fitted properly in the first instance.
Watch battery replacement must be done with the utmost care. When we replace a battery we use the correct tools and best practice as per the standards of leading horological organisations.
Water Resistance & Pressure Testing
If you use your watch in water it needs to be pressure tested to ensure it is still water resistant following a battery replacement. It’s best practice to have water resistance checked every year.
We are able to pressure test watches up to a rating of 300m water resistance using our state of the art Poseidon pressure testing machine.
Should replacement seals be required, these can be sourced and fitted in most instances.
