Mechanical Watch Servicing
We are able to carry out watch servicing on most types of watch from our workshop near Brighton & Hove, with only a few exceptions. Mechanical watches should be serviced roughly every 4-5 years to ensure they continue to work properly.
Regular servicing is very important for the continued longevity of your watch, as watches rely on parts being in good condition with appropriate oils and greases to ensure correct functioning. These oils and greases degrade over time.
We are able to service and repair a huge range of makes, models and types of watch – contact us for more information.
Quartz Watch Servicing
As with mechanical watches, many quartz (battery) watches can be serviced. This is especially true with watches produced by higher quality brands like Omega, Tag Heuer and Longines to name a few.
Service intervals for a quartz watch tend to be longer as there are less moving parts. We suggest your quartz watch is serviced every 7-8 years, or at the very least it is checked by a competent watchmaker when the battery is replaced.
For other quartz watches the movements are not designed to be serviced. In this instance we are often able to replace the complete movement.
